"Unlikely Friends" or "Kima's Identity Crisis"

Kima (dali) and Neville (MC) were the first two of my brand now NROBD crew who wandered out of the pet door, one right after the other. I braced for trouble, given the age-old rivalry of cats and dogs. 

I took them toy shopping so we could stock up all the rooms they'll have access to, and even the back yard for the dogs. 


There it is... the rivalry. I decided to let them stay out together anyway and see if they'd warm up to each other. Perhaps some silly clothes shopping to break the ice...

Neville still isn't having it, but Kima's warming up

Kima: "Oh come on, Nev."

Neville (begrudgingly): "Like this?"

Kima: "Now you're just showin' off."

Then Kima found the catnip...

Me: "What have you got there, Kima?"
Kima: "I dunno, but I'm gonna eat it."
Me: "Uh oh... Maybe we should discuss this, Kima. Right now, I need to answer the door... I'll be right back. Don't- ALRIGHT! I'm coming! Keep your trousers on!" 

When I return-

Me: *facepalm* "How do you feel, Kima?"
Kima: "Hungry. Got any munchies?"

A very short while later...

Me: "You okay, Kima?"
Kima: "My tummy hurts... and would you please stop the world spinning?"
Me: "Maybe you should leave the catnip to the cats, sweetie."
Kima: "Ugggggh... yes Ma'am."
